On Saturday 30 December 2017, Lizzie Frances – currently playing the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella – celebrated 200 performances at The Octagon Theatre.
During the finale of the evening performance of ‘Cinderella’ on Saturday, Theatre Manager Adam Burgan and Evolution Pantomimes Producer Emily Wood surprised Lizzie live on stage with flowers, balloons and a framed photograph to be erected in the theatre’s dressing room corridor ‘Hall of Fame’.
Over her 5 years in pantomime at The Octagon, Lizzie has performed over 200 times in front of 120,317 people. She is well known in Yeovil for her performances as Fairy Beansprout in Jack and the Beanstalk (2007/8), Slave of the Ring in Aladdin (2012/13), Fairy Moonbeam in Sleeping Beauty (2015/16), Mrs Darling, Myrtle the Mermaid and Chief Squatting Cow in Peter Pan (2016/17) and now the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella (2017/18).
Lizzie’s framed photograph will be displayed in the theatre’s ‘Hall of Fame’ which is reserved for high profile performers who have visited the Yeovil venue – currently including names such as Paul Zerdin, Pam Ayres, Julian Lloyd Webber and Ken Dodd.
Adam Burgan, Theatre Manager, said, “We are delighted to celebrate the milestone Lizzie Frances has achieved.
