The Octagon Theatre, Westlands Entertainment Venue, Take Art, The David Hall, The Playhouse Theatre and The Brewhouse have joined forces to bring you Somerset Dance, showcasing all of the incredible dance performances and opportunities happening across Somerset in the coming months.

The pandemic has had a huge impact on the dance and theatre industry over the past 18 months, resulting in many venues closing for prolonged periods. As the industry begins to recover, we wanted to use this opportunity to celebrate the reopening of venues across Somerset and promote dance activities taking place in a venue near you! To promote dance activities, performances and opportunities across Somerset we have partnered up with theatres and arts venues across the county to advertise all the dance opportunities in one place. This partnership has been funded by The Octagon Theatre’s Move To Improve project, which seeks to develop opportunities in Somerset to take part in, and watch dance.

The Move To Improve project focuses on developing dance within our region, improving access to dance across South Somerset, supporting emerging artists, and diversifying the Octagon Theatre’s dance offer. There are amazing opportunities to see, take part in and get inspired by dance across our county and we hope you will enjoy seeing just some of the incredible events taking place right on your doorstep.
