Matthew Bourne’s 5-star production of The Red Shoes is inspired by the 1948 Powell and Pressburger film of the same name, and won two Olivier awards when it premiered in 2016. It’s a tale of obsession, possession and grief and one girl’s dream to be the greatest dancer in the world. Victoria Page lives to dance but her ambitions become a battleground between the two men who inspire her passion.
