This summer, make new friends, learn new skills and have a blast doing it! Join us for an action-packed four days of dance, drama, art and music workshops!
You’ll be exploring the theme of Around The World learning different cultural dances, producing and recording music, taking part in origami and mosaic workshops, plus creating your own piece of theatre with some of Somerset’s most exciting artistic professionals.
Participants will explore different foods from Around The World, receive a hot meal included within the cost of the package, plus receive a ‘Make It At Home’ pizza kit!

Javanese Gamelan – with Actiontrack Performance Company
You don’t need to be a music specialist or be learning an instrument to be able to play the Gamelan. We’ll show you how to make wonderful sounds and create music on these fabulous instruments that come from the other side of the world.
Dances of the World - with Natalie Hyde
An exciting dance adventure awaits! Join us for this fun and upbeat workshop as we explore across the world, learning new dance styles from Europe, Asia and the America’s. The perfect Summer Holiday get-away!
Character Building – with Gordon Cooper
Join Actor and Octagon Panto Dame Gordon Cooper and have some fun exploring different ways to create and build crazy and extraordinary characters. Set your imagination loose, stretch your creative muscles and most importantly, have some fun!
Musical Theatre – with Amanda Boniface
Do you love musical theatre? Do you like to sing, dance and act? This musical theatre training opportunity will enable you to learn songs from popular musicals, rehearse and perform. During the workshop you will learn to combine all three disciplines of movement, drama and singing to help build your performance skills. You will complete a physical and vocal warm up, sing scales and learn songs from popular musicals. You will also learn about vocal technique to help support your voice. Join us for an energetic 'around the world' performing arts experience to help your develop your theatre skills.
Sculptures – with Yeovil Art Space
Reuse, Reduce and Recycle is the theme of these sculpture workshops led by Natasha Rand and Stephanie Max from Yeovil Art Space. We will be working with recycled plastic bottles to make individual eco plastic flower sculptures, which at the end of the session will be brought together as a collective piece.
Dance Around the World – with Keri Hill
This fun, vibrant jam packed session will take us on a journey around the world exploring different dance cultures. Sampling the likes of Brazilian Samba, Latino Salsa, African beats and Indian Bhangra.

No previous dance, acting or musical experience required. All activity over the Summer period will comply with government guidance and we will ensure all activity delivered is COVID-19 safe. Participants will be asked to wear face masks around the venue if over 12 years, regularly wash their hands, use hand sanitiser, and have temperature checks taken on arrival. Participants will be divided into two groups (bubbles) which they will stay in for the length of the programme to minimise crossover. The rooms will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised each day and in-between sessions on the day.
