Audition Technique for Singing

Audition Technique for Singing: 1pm - 4pm

A workshop for singers and musical lovers, you will bring your chosen song to sing, we will work through some acting technics and singing techniques to improve and develop your performance and approach to the music and text.

This workshop includes a special guest ‘In conversation with West End and International performer Kerry Ellis’, who will be joining the workshop via video link.

Kerry Ellis has fast become recognised as the leading lady of West End musicals from her starring roles in London and on Broadway. She has also achieved chart-topping success as a recording artist signed to Universal Decca with her debut album Anthems.

During this workshop you will:

• Participate in a group vocal warm up.
• Perform your chosen song.
• Work on the text and the story around your chosen song.
• Take some direction on your piece with a focus on acting through song and vocal technique.
• Meet Kerry Ellis via video link with the chance to ask questions in our ‘In conversation with’ section.

Free of charge, 10 places available.

Participants should bring a phone with a backing track of their chosen song.
