Starring G4's Jonathan Ansell, Marta Fontaneles-Simmons, John Savournin and composed by Martin Emslie.
Join us for a powerful retelling of the easter passion story, a story of love, hope, friendship and grace, betrayal and injustice , a story told to generations over the course of history. Martin’s Emslie’s Omega and Alpha Oratorio is not to be missed. Performed by just three soloists, a choir and orchestra, it’s a fusion of sacred music, story telling and musical theatre, offering a fresh, powerful and thought provoking rendition of the Passion of Christ.
The star studded concert marks the 10th Anniversary of the 2013 world premiere at Wells Cathedral.
Jonathan Ansell performs the role of Jesus (Tenor) , Marta Fontaneles-Simmons sings the roles of Narrator, Mary and the lady in the market (Mezzo) and John Savournin performs multiple roles including Judas and the disciples (Bass/ Baritone). Our stars will be joined by a stellar 80-piece choir.
