Pen Farthing: Operation Ark

Operation Ark is a powerful true story arising from the controversial 2021 Afghanistan Evacuation.

There are two sides to every story - Pen Farthing was content rescuing the strays of Kabul, working alongside his charity staff of Afghan vets to support the local community – until the Afghanistan Withdrawal, where the Taliban overran the country in a matter of weeks.

The government was “Missing in Action” with Pen caught in the crossfire. He had to steer his charity staff and animals through the dangers of a Taliban takeover and a political storm back home.

This book is his account of the chaotic 14 days of the evacuation and its aftermath: offering a unique, important insight into the failures of the government, and setting the record straight.
