We are delighted to celebrate the journey of T Level student Harry Brimble, who has been with the Yeovil Town Council Admin Team and Westlands Entertainment Venue Marketing Team for his work placement as a part of his Level 3 Business Management & Administration course at Yeovil College.

Harry started his placement in January 2025 and has been working towards completing 315 hours with us, as part of the requirmeent of his qualification. During these hours, Harry has been given tasks such as creating and sending out promotional emails to our customers, whilst also looking closely into the financial side of the business including understanfing how invoices are tracked and recorded.

From this, Harry has been able to build his IT & software skills, grow in confidence, and been granted with real-world experience to be able to put his classroom learning into practise.

We caught up with Harry to find out how he found his experience working at Yeovil Town Council and Westlands Entertainment Venue: “My placement has been a really enjoyable experience especially when learning about the marketing strategies at Westlands Entertainment Venue and how Yeovil Town Council operate and where they would like to be in the foreseeable future. I've been most intrigued by the software's which I've been using and how they play a crucial part at marketing any upcoming events at Westlands.

"The staff here have all been welcoming and I've built a strong connection with the colleagues I work with each Thursday. I feel I have my own independence on each task when left to do it, although if stuck there is always people I can ask for help from, with each piece of work I complete being highly appreciated and useful to the team”.

Martin Hacker, Marketing Manager at Westlands Entertainment Venue, said: "This has been our first experience of having a T-Level qualification student on placement with us at Westlands and we are thrilled with the work attitude of Harry. There has been a real marked difference in the confidence, skills learnt and experience since the beginning of his placement. Starting in a workplace can be very daunting for anyone, so the T-Level gives the opportunity to learn the skills, get that experience and work towards their qualification. As a business, we've really valued Harry's hard work and can-do attitude whilst not shying away from asking the right questions to learn."

Harry will be completing his required hours at the end of March 2026 and we all wish him the very best in his future employment.
